Handbags! I don't know about you, but I can't live without mine. And I carry my whole life in it: hairbrush, purse, keys, phone, notebooks, pens, chewing gum (and chewing gum wrappers!), bits of fluff and general detritus. This little number wouldn't carry many of my necessities, but it sure is sweet.
Template: Creations by AR, 'Haute Tote'
Papers: Correen Silke, 'Mother May I' (and it's free!)
None of us can have failed to notice that handbags are big in Crafty Blogland and I think this is one of the best out there! The template comes with straightforward instructions and is really simple to assemble. Truly, it took me longer to decide which papers to use and how to embellish it than it did to actually make it!
In the end I chose these delicate digital papers by Correen Silke (one of my favourite e-paper designers), using three from the set. I added faux stitching in pencil (pen would have been too harsh, I think) and then made some co-ordinating blooms with the leftover scraps. I chose to add the inner pocket, in which I popped a little card, ready for that all important message. A few leaves and there it is - a perfect tote for mini easter eggs or some other precious little gift.
So, that's today's post, dear Bloglanders, and I'm off to bed before I fall asleep over the keyboard.
Happy crafting.
xx
