Oooooooo - It's Here!

So, dear Crafty Bloglanders, 1st April is here and I'm about to start my month with Mo's Dream Team - wooooo!  Obviously, I'm pretty nervous as the DT really are mega-talented ladies, and Liza (last month's GDT) will be a hard act to follow.  But I shall do my best and, whatever happens, I shall love every minute of this wonderful opportunity.

I have started off in my comfort zone with the Mo's Digital Pencil challenge, combined with this week's sketch challenge from Mojo Monday, which fitted beautifully with the image I'd chosen.  Mo's DP2 challenge this week, set by Peggy (aka 'The Wired Angel'), is "pastel colors"... light shades of green, blue, yellow, pink.. well, you know what we mean... Spring stuff!", and Mojo Monday's sketch is another round or square:

As you will see, I've chosen square - I'm not a lover of making round cards, primarily because they end up being too small for me to work comfortably with my silly hands!

Of course, there was really only one image that I wanted to use for this pair of challenges - and here she is:

Image: Mo's Digital Pencil, 'Baby Fairy Flora'
Papers: Cosmo Cricket, 'Girl Friday'; Bo Bunny 'Back to Basics', Mint Dots
Tools: Nestabilities, large square; EK Success Retro Flower punches; Floral Punch leaf spray.
Other: Flower spray from Cosmo Cricket 'Honeypie' crafting kit; Glamour Dust; pearls and ribbon from my stash.

Isn't she an adorable little fairy?  I fell in love with her the minute I saw her - what a little darling.  I wasn't sure I'd manage to be delicate enough with my Copics to capture her little dress and wings but I'm very pleased with how she turned out.  I added a dusting of Glamour Dust to her wings, to give them extra sparkle, just like every little fairy should have!

This card will go into my own porfolio - it's the first card I've ever made as a bona-fide designer (even if it is only for a month!) and it will always hold a special place.  You know what we crafters are like - come on, admit it - we do have our favourites!

Right, this time not only do I have to link up with the challenges but I shall now go over to the Dream Team and make my first appearance.  At the risk of seeming totally immodest, tonight I am very proud of myself!

Happy Easter to all of you.
