All About Animals at Karen's Doodles

Welcome to the start of another week, which, of course, means a new challenge over at the Karen's Doodles Challenge Blog. This week it is all about 'Animals' - we're challenging you to make a card or other project with one of Karen's Doodles wonderful animal images, and there are plenty to choose from over at the Karen's Doodles Store.

So here's this week's card from me:

Image: Karen's Doodles, 'A Friend in Need'

Papers: Graphic 45, 'A Proper Gentleman' collection

Poor old Herbert - It's a good job he has Bigsby to lend a helping hand.  I love this image - Herbert is one of my favourites, anyway, and I think he looks so sorry for himself in this image.

And I love these Graphic 45 papers - the colours were perfect for this card.  I've had them a while and simply hadn't got round to using them so it was a lovely surprise to find them lurking at the back of my paper store, ready and waiting.

I coloured the image with my Copics, going back and adding shading and 'glow' with my Prismas, as usual.  I paper-pieced the pillowcase and sheet, though - this pretty polkadot blue just drew me in and lifted the image.

I'm going to enter Herbert in this week's Raise The Bar challenge, which is 'Animals, brown and clean and simple'.

So, now it's over to you. Use a Karen's Doodles image and let us see your animal cards. There will be three winners this week, now that we've changed the way we award the prizes:

* 1st place winner of 3 digi stamps of your choice from Karen's Doodles will be awarded by merit. The Design Team members will vote for their favorite entry and the winner will also get a Card of the Week blinkie to display on their blog.

Both 2nd and 3rd place winners will be chosen by Random.org and the prizes will be:

* 2nd place winner - 2 Digi stamps of your choice from Karen's Doodles.

* 3rd place winner - 1 Digi stamp of your choice from Karen's Doodles.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's cards too - they're fabulous, as always!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Happy crafting.
