Papers: October Afternoon
As soon as I saw this image, I thought simultaneously of Les Dawson and the comic archetype of a Blackpool landlady, so I simply had to see her as 'Miss Blackpool 1945'!
Isn't she hilarious? I love these images by Just Inklined, Jak Heath's new digistamp company. There's a great range of stamps to choose from but my favourites have to be the 'Wrinklies', in all their guises.
If you haven't already checked out Just Inklined, I'd recommend you hop over and take a look. There's a fabulous freebie at the moment (for a limited period only, though) and Jak and the team are running their first GDT challenge too! It's always exciting to see a new stamp company coming through, don't you think?!
I coloured Maude with my Copics, adding the usual grounding and glow with my Prismas, of course. The strong open shapes of these characters make them so easy to colour and yet there's just enough detail to get your teeth into, if you know what I mean.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a challenge to enter this card into tonight but I hope you, my dear Blogland friends, will have a giggle on me, anyway.
I've been colouring up a storm the last few days, ready for my increased DT commitments over the next month, so I'd love it if you would keep popping back to see what I've been up to.
Thank you for all your delightful and encouraging comments - I have the warm fuzzies every day! And it hasn't escaped my notice that I now have 106 Fantastic Followers, so watch out for some candy soon!
Happy crafting.
xx
Yet another wonderful one that made me giggle! I've been to Just Inklinked and have downloaded a couple - particularly Dick Van Duck... just LOVE him! And you're right - Les Dawson to a T!
