Summer Zest at Karen's Doodles

My first week with Karen's Doodles is already over and here we are with a new challenge.  This week, our theme is 'Summer Zest' and we are challenging you to create a card (or other project) with yellow, orange, lime green and a splash of blue, to bring a real citrus zest to the week ahead.

Here's what I've come up with:

I think this is the first Karen's Doodles image I ever used and I absolutely love it.  Daughter is a salsa dancer (and a very good one too!) and this always reminds me of her.
 
And the colour combo is zesty fresh - really 'fiesta' and perfect for these two!
 
 
 

I coloured them up with my Copics, (which, I am pleased to say, have now been recharged and are nice and 'juicy' again!), and added a bit of grounding and glow with my Prismacolors.  I love all the little bits of detail in this image - the flowers, the bow tie, the striped lapels! Joy!

I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Challenge - 'Sing it baby!' - where this card is used to illustrate the song "Asi se baila el tango", from 'Take the Lead' with Antonio Banderas dances the (super sexy!) tango with his dance student.

Cute Card Thursday - 'Whateva!'

Daring Cardmakers - 'Peridot' (which is a lovely gemstone, ranging from yellowish, through lime to dark green!)
