Watch the Birdie!

Whew! It's another warm one and the weekend looks like it's going to be even hotter.  The problem with heat in the UK is that it is nearly always very humid as well - and it knocks me for six, that's for sure! So, I'm looking forward to time inside at the weekend and hopefully I will find my mojo, as it seems to have run off and hidden, probably under the sofa!

Because there's not much mojo today, I thought I would try something simple for a change.  And having trawled my favourite challenges, this card will be for:

This is a delightful little image from A Day for Daisies - if you haven't checked out the store yet, you should have a look because there are some beautiful, very inspiring images.

When I first saw this little bird my mind went straight to the ScribbleScrabble paper, with its little blossoms, so I had always had in mind to use this paper once I got round to colouring up this image. 

As you can see, this is very simply coloured with Copics and shaded around with Prismas - nothing fancy today.  Besides which, I didn't want to overdo the colour on the image - it's so sweet and simple itself.

I added just a few little blossoms to tie it together, punched with my EK Success Retro Flower punch (the smallest one).  The centres were the punched out circles from the border below, which was punched with one of my Martha Stewart edge punches. 

So, as you can probably tell, I'm feeling a bit flat today so I won't stay around to whinge!
