It's Isabella Time!

Happy Wednesday all!  It's another Isabella's Sketchbook Challenge and this week we are honouring fathers.

My Dad is my superhero - nuff said, really.  He has given me my love of music, art and architecture and is a talented artist himself.  He will be celebrating a big birthday this year, although he looks much younger and still has the ability to act like a teenager, if allowed!  He's wonderful!  We're both known for our love of steak pie - I mean, we reallllllly love it - and, in fact, most other sorts of pie (apple, cherry, rhubarb, chicken, vegetable - just pie!) but neither of us is supposed to indulge as we also share some health problems.  But that might help to explain the card I've made for this week's challenge:

Image: Isabella's Sketchbook, 'Blueberry Pie'

Papers: October Afternoon, 'Farm Fresh'

How scrummy does that pie look?  And there's ice cream too - mmmmmmmmmm.

I couldn't resist the sentiment - and it's quite true!  Even more than pie! Although pie with ice cream ...... that's a toughie! (Only joking Dad!)
Unusually, I coloured this image with my Prismacolor pencils - I wasn't getting quite the right quality of finish with my Copics, probably because I don't have quite enough of the intermediate colours yet. So out came the Prismas for a change.

So, why not join us at Isabella's Challenge this week - we always love to see your creations.  Remember to use an Isabella's Sketchbook image, though.  You could win two free images from Isabella's Sketchbook and a beautiful 'I Won' badge for your blog.

And don't forget to have a look around the DT blogs - I'm sure they'll have much gorgeousness for you to see.

Happy crafting.

  1. Wow, Peri, this is just wonderful! I love the sentiment. I often reach for my Prismacolor pencils after my Copics just to add a bit of detail and shadowing. Have a great week!
